AutoCAD Alert Box

Autodesk have recently added an alert box to AutoCAD 2007 which warns if the drawing was not created originally in AutoCAD. We believe that this is a a marketing ploy rather than an indicator of genuine file incompatibility.

We have ignored the message with no apparent problems.

If you want to avoid the warning message, simply save the drawing in the IntelliCAD environment as a DXF file (ASCII option). Use File>Open. Since the DXF format is an open format, it is unlikely that Autodesk will put the warning message in there.
